Life gets rough,
The path gets gnarly,
And all that glitters,
Ain’t a Harley.

Keep the shiny side up,
The dirty side down.
Treat your brother right,
You’ll be coming back around.
.
Give me endless summer, the heat,
Two wheels and a leather seat.
Clean water, nourishing food to eat,
Old friends and the new we meet.
.
Give me a sunset, a mountain view,
Some wine, some bread, and you.
Life is a flicker. Poof! We’re gone.
And- man doesn’t live on bread alone.
.
Slow it down,
Take a closer look.
Life can’t be lived,
From another’s book.
.
Seize the day,
With all your might.
Don’t go into the light,
Without a fight.
.
Keep the chin up.
The rubber side down.
Let’s lift the brother up,
We’ll be coming back around.
.
Gold is just some metal,
Buried in the ground,
Keep an eye on your sister,
It’s all coming back around.
.
Ask for strength and vision,
When your path gets gnarly,
And know that all that glitters,
Ain’t a Harley.

What could be a better way to start the day. Your words, so real, so true. What inspires me from your poetry, happiness, live, laugh, good times are there, we have to grab em with both hands and hang on tight. I loved the video music, i kept looking for you to be riding the Harley. LOL Thank you.
