Starting Over At Wal-Mart
Starting over at Wal-Mart.
They’re open all night.
They’ll have what you need,
When love isn’t right.
You can get almost anything.
And the prices are great.
Starting over at Wal-Mart,
When love turns to hate.
Get some towels and sheets,
So many colors to choose.
Starting over at Wal-Mart,
When there’s no more to lose.
You might get some beer,
Toothpaste, shampoo, and soap.
These little things will help,
When you have no more hope.
You’ll need a broom and a dust pan.
They have all your house wares.
This is just the beginning,
When she no longer cares.
You’ll be shopping a while,
So choose a good cart.
You’ll be getting all new stuff
Except for that old broken heart.
You won’t know what it takes
When your heart really breaks.
You might see a friend,
Who knows your world’s at an end.
You won’t know what to do,
When it all crashes on you.
When you feel your eyes tear,
You might go back for more beer.
No, you aren’t very smart,
Starting over at Wal-Mart.

beats going to a bar to drown one's sorrows, They've got a friendly greeter whose retired and would enjoy hearing your sob story at 3:00 a.m. Any Bud whose wiser about heartbreak can get a good price on a 24 pack of budwieser and mellow out when they get home. And who knows maybe you'll bump into a broken hearted lady in the wee hours whose looking for a rebound, and wind up sharing some brews at her place.

You know I grew up with stores called Zayres and later they became Ames.Then there was Bradlees.Everytime you found something on sale at Bradlees the lady in the front would say sorry it wasn't that on sale.I said it was on the sale rack.Someone must of put it there.But the sign says 30% off.The days where they didn't mark all the tags.Now at Walmart a sale is marked clear and a bargain is a bargain.The prices you can't beat.They have markdown racks through out the store and sometimes a whole section together.No problem ever gettting the price that is marked.Boy how times have changed.The store is huge.Nice garden sectin to.Nice hub.See you at the Super Walmart near us.
Yo DREAM ON! There have been battles waged against Wal-Mart. I can't join that battle. I see the too obvious flaws with that. We have some really big fish to kill. I love their honesty. No card necessary. That in itself, the Bi-Lo, Ingles, Food Lion, etc. is bogus and dishonest.

Hi Valerie. It's sad that we can't trust our "merchants". We cannot pay too cheaply for products and not care how employees are treated. We shouldn't be conned with "cards" to get a better discount. It all goes back to the Golden Rule. Businesses and governments should be ruled by it. But- that fickled love thing can send us back to buy more stuff at the mega-store and maybe in the middle of the night. Thank you Ma'am!

Well, I'm okay. I wrote this a couple years ago but I've been stung pretty hard. Many times. I remain disillusioned at man against man. I am sad that so many people are lost- lost in this government of the rich, by the rich, for the rich, etc. I'm a burned out old man Judicastro. But, all I can do is try to help my fellow man and sister. God bless!

Aw, I'm sorry for your pain, Micky Dee...if this has happened to you. :( But...Walmart, Target and K-Mart are all great places to get things you need at a good price.:) Who knows, maybe you will find someone new at Walmart someday? ;) Just a thought for the future...when the healing has begun.
