The Poor Rich Man!
76Oh- there's nothing to see here!
You might skip this hub altogether.
This hub isn't the fluff you're probably looking for!
I may have pointed out a flaw with Capitalism. If you are an honest businessman then God bless you.
If you are not an honest businessman with an adherence to the Golden Rule then may God, Allah, Karma "lay hands on you"!
It was pointed out recently by another hubber that I may not be as sensitive to the "rich" as I could be. I have to admit that I was unaware of the plight of the rich and powerful. I realize that these times can be hard on the rich and powerful. After all they are "outsiders" to most of us. There numbers are few. Sure they control the stock market. Sure they control our courts. Sure they control the legislature. Sure they control the presidency. Sure they control the military. But- does anyone think it's easy to displace indigenous tribes that live on lands that contain resources valuable to the rich and powerful. Don't people know they shouldn't live on this land that the rich and powerful want? The rich and powerful don't really want to kill so many people and move them off their land. But the R & P realize that some people just don't want to move.
Jim Rogers: Socialism for the Rich.
The Poor Rich Man
I’m so sorry that you’re rich.
And have so much to pay!
What a burden that must be.
Please let me take your burden away!
You have to heat such a big house.
You even have a high maintenance spouse.
I feel so sorry for you and your cronies,
Having to fox hunt on your polo ponies!
It must be hard for the help to help.
Allow me to ease your pain!
You can have my refrigerator box.
I’ll try to ride your gravy train.
I never knew you had it so hard.
All that lawn to mow in your yard!
And the help require so much pay!
I’m sure you provide each with an IRA!
Your time is so tight.
You eat out every night!
I hate to see you in such pain!
Please let me relieve you of your ill-gotten gain!
It must be hard to live there on Easy Street!
Where all the money in the world can’t make the ends meet!
I’ve been such a cad! I feel like a fool!
I’m farting in my tub and you’re peeing in your pool!
If the truth came to light,
You steal worse than a thief in the night
I’m so sorry that you’re rich,
You sorry son of a 8!tc#!
Naomi Klein: Disaster Capitalism
A blithering idiot posted this comment on a recent hub:
"when I read welfare for the rich, I got some throw up in mouth and stopped reading, The rich pay 95 percent of the taxes in this country, they build the business that gives jobs to 95 percent of this country, they grow business that 95 percent own stock in thru one form or another, CAPITALISM built this great country, why don't you and your silly friends go play elsewhere."
Oh really- you stupid rhetoric spewing fool!!!
It's really sad that that an idiot like you has to defend them!!!

Brilliantly put, Micky. You've made my day, again. !!!
Hello Micky Dee, while I'll admit I benefit from having a well to do family, it drives me crazy when people talk about capitalism as if it were God ordained. There is no justice in the rich being able to use and abuse others simply because they own material things, businesses, and virtually most of what is out there. Someone venting about five times on my Recession rants hub aked me if I would want people telliing me how to run my business. I guess I don't feel that owning a business would make me God or all knowing, therefore I should be willing to not only listen to others, but obey laws that make the world a better place for all of us. Thanks for a thought provoking hub. I also agree with the last video that it is not education that is causing the great divide between the rich and poor, but politicians favoring the rich and providing them with still more benefits. I have a Masters Degree; however, our republican governor cut the budget for substance abuse services so drastically that there are no jobs in my field other than entry level low paying jobs that would not support anybody. If I had not inherited my parent's home, and did not have well to do family who assist me as needed, I would be homeless at thie point, in spite of my Masters Degree. It is not about being competitive, working hard, or being educated, it is about already having money in the first place. Ronald Regan did much damage to our country; I never voted for him, and regret that he put practices in place that have all but destroyed the power of the middle class. (: v
Micky this poetry got me smilin' - it is sad how many of the rich just aren't happy with all that slosh - so sad. I remember a bout two years ago one of the German billionaires jumped in front of a train because he went from the billions to like 400 million or something. That to me summed up how perspective can be lost. I don't begrudge any one making a buck but when you are taking advantage of innocents or involving Government corruption, that is a big no no. What was that Beatles song 'Money can't buy me love"..
I enjoyed your article. Well done :)
Gyahahahahaha! This is what I called as beautiful sarcasm! You rock, Micky!!! And I am agree with you, without lower class labour, these rich people will never able to created something useful other than theory and dreams. They need worker to make those thought of them come true so they should give more respect to the poor.
LOL Again !! The world is done this way. And who did it ? US , THE HUMAN BEINGS ! Now we have to cope with it. I've been rich, poor, rich, and poor again. Now I'm waiting for my next rich facet. And I hope it comes soon. What can I say ! I love to be rich ! Maybe money can't buy love, but it sure cures the headcahes LOL! ;)
Mic, I have insider information so I gotta leave some of my thoughts at the door. Dalai Lama stated the most meaningful root of it all, "education, as well as hard work", is key and the key to another way of life.Naomi Klein, contributed what struck me as history repetitiveness that is taking place right now in ways many don't recognize. The little oil leak in the bathtub of life is softening the ground for changes to be built upon. Many want to know why? has nothing been done. Well something has and is being done, it's just not recognized as to what it is. Softening of the ground to produce and force more to be poor, as in Paul Krugmans' analysis of "decompression" in his statements of the "Great Depression" and the fact in order for it to have been, at all, there had to be a "compression" take place.
Being rich, what is it? I mean there is rich and there is filthy stinking rich. Old money, New money. Too many ways to define rich. New Money is money that is obtained by the method of the Dalai Lama, old money is the money obtained by hand me down, even if it is like Valerie getting some as she needs it to keep on keeping on as she makes new money. Not knocking her or it, just my observation. Bush, an example of old money, he was a punk who did shit for his money. Same with the Kennedys', yet had two been allowed to live and show what their kind of money could do, I'm just one, but I will always believe that a new shadow would have been cast upon old money. Someone else believed it too, they were so strong in their belief they killed them both. The topic of this conversation would have been moot in another reality of events. I live on new money, as my family was dirt poor with none to hand down or even loan. Had I kept on keeping on with my education and hard work I would be paying taxes for me as well as for the employees of a diverse set of businesses in California. That ship has sailed and I got off before it did, now an old fukk, there's no getting back on, I don't want back on any way. So much to say on this topic and I'll just bow to your view as it reveals many truths of "rich" and allows many refuge to be victims of a terrible good for nothing country, that has left them crippled in so many ways it's a miracle they can draw a breath at all. Many who don't have the energy to make it to a voting booth, or utilize their ability to contact their elected officials if I were to look up the email addresses and send it to them. The ability to act as victims and type responses in favor or rejection of a position that a hubber such as your self is not hindered, go figure? As well I've been told that it is their duty to Not vote or get involved in any way due to religious beliefs, go figure? By inaction their hands are clean of all wrongs that the government commits, I cannot figure. Whether or not you and I agree on this or other topics strikes me as irrelevant to whether or not we remain friends, it's about keeping ourselves involved in thought over the outcome of the well being of each other and those who cannot or will not help themselves or others. Much Love and Peace, 50
I laughed at the title then broke down as i read from top to bottom..Bro,you are full of humor and i am glad i am learning from you...I know so many rich poor men in my country.
Your most humorous line...
"I’m farting in my tub and you’re peeing in your pool!"
That makes you at least middle class as the very poor probably don't even have a bathtub.
This recession brings out all kinds of thoughts that might otherwise remain under the radar. I heard a lot about the Great Depression from my mother though she was just a child at the time.
I think that the BIG difference that has taken place in our country over the period of time between then and now are all the entitlement programs that have come into being. Teenagers having babies out of wedlock get money from the government to help raise those babies. Back then...the families took them in, probably scolded them royally!...and hopefully lessons were learned. Even in my school years one did not see pregnant teenagers running around and schools having day care programs.
All of that being said.....the babies NEED all the help they can get. No easy answers!
Schooling used to matter. In this recession, engineers, architects and highly schooled people are out of jobs as well as the high school dropouts. So that is no longer a guarantee of keeping a job.
Corporations used to honor their workers and reward them after years of service with a pension upon retirement and the "gold watch" that some received or at least a fond farewell party. Now-a-days, heaven forbid that the company has a bad quarter.........they INSTANTLY think of letting people go. All about money and no longer about people!
Heaven forbid that one gets to be in their 40's and even worse....their 50's. Despite knowledge and years of service...corporations would rather get rid of them and hire new younger workers whom they can pay less money.
All about the bottom line! This is turning into my own rant. Sorry!
Keep voting though. Our only hope of changing things!
I can tell that your heart is in the right place, Micky...thinking about and caring for others.
In the Great Depression, people patched their clothing if it got worn or had holes in it. Also made other clothes out of "cast offs." Now some people purposely buy designer clothes with holes in it. Go figure!
I'll have to write a hub about how my grandmother made art out of men's underwear buttons. That was back in the days when men's underwear HAD buttons. Ha! (Note to myself...good subject for another hub.) Thanks Micky!
Mick, it's been a while. You might be interested to know I've been working with former USMC personnel towards a very interesting opportunity. We have two former Marines within our Holy Truth Veterans Housing Program who came up with the initial idea during one of our morning devotions.
Now, on to your Hub. The common flaw in most people's thinking is they believe the Bible says,"Money is the root of all evil." That has never been the case. The actual statement involves 'the love of money' which leans towards the subject of false gods and idolatry.
As an example, I've seen many little churches focus everything they had towards their vision for improving the lives of others while huge multi-million dollar ministries act like they couldn't care less for the postion of the ones society has dumped on.
Point? It isn't so much the money itself as it is the motivation involved when getting it and what will be done with it after you receive your blessing.
nicely put Micky. Like your perspective
There is a division between the Rich and poor of our world and it's been since time memorial. It won't change, as long as money is worshiped. The greed for Money will remain. It's not how much of it you have but what you do with it. I totally agree with you Micky about the worship of money by many of the rich. Maybe one day money and stuff will not play such an important role in the lives of people. I am always delighted when I read of some rich who really share their wealthy in a very generous way with charities and other philanthropic ways. My hat is off for those few, but for the most part the rest are in it for themselves and how much more they can pile up and buy all their toys and play their games. Very great hub Micky, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Peace
A nice look at class division. I always find it interesting when someone with wealth feels inconvenienced by those who are doing without. Life would be so much better if poor people didn't cause problems for rich folks, and why don't the poor pull themselves up by their bootstraps? It is an interesting attitude, and you have examined it with great humor. Thanks.
Mike
Don't forget the camel and eye of the needle. We will win in the end.
Money has a tendency to ruin people, but it's not the money's fault--it's the person's fault. They were ruined before, the money is just what made it visible.
Good hub. Keep up the work!
Hey Micky, you rock, but that is nothing new
The fact that the rich are, for the most part, very unhappy people (and I know enough of them through my business to say that), is very poor consolation for the rest of us.
After a cerain level of comfort it makes no difference how much money one has. Whether the water goes over your head by 10 feet or 100 or 1000, you die just the same
Micky, this hub is telling it like it is and so funny in places, as you know from my hubs, i was dirt poor while growing up, if it wasen,t for food stamps and government
help ie,jobs(WPA)my mother and i would have been on the street, but the government has changed. I believe with all my heart that President Obama is a good man, but he can,t do it alone, if i had my way, every democrat and
every republican would be voted out of office and new people come in who really cares about this nation, or better still, TERM LIMITS, now back to money, this is getting personal, but i was married to a very wealthy man
for five years and that was the most miserable time in my life ( that,s a hub i should write about ) so money can,t buy you love or contentment.
Cheers and God,s Speed
I think the other comments have covered anything I might say better than I could say it. Just wanted to check in and say again, Way to Go! Really good info, funny (if it weren't so true) poem, and excellent videos.
A psychiatrist once said I would rather treat a rich person and not a poor person, as the rich person does not blame is problems on money. Where the poor person blames his all his problem on not having money. I have been on both sides of the fence, I have never wanted to be rich all I want to do, as a disabled senior, is to pay my bills and eat. Thanks for this outstanding hub...
Oh my dear Micky Dee, the best advice you've given throughout this hub is bar none, Unplug from the matrix!
I'm happy to report I unplugged long long ago kicking and screaming making my way free and have been a free spirit since. Peace :)
I was going to be serious in my comment, but I can't! I can only say that I love you and the way you write with such honesty. I am also so glad to find someone else who thinks that the old Cosmic Cowboy (and his side-kick the Plutonium Blond) were responsible for so much bad stuff in the world. And especially, as you say, the destruction of the middle class. Their legacy of evil lives on.
Love and peace
Tony
Hi, this is a very dodgy subject with me today! lol we just had the budget, and they are taxing our asses off! but the funny thing was that the queen, her lazy ass majesty, spent 1 and a half million pounds, about 3 million dollars last year on garden bloody parties! paid by the tax payer! I notice I never got invited to her 'do's' why not? I paid for it! arghhhh!!! thanks Mickey you got it right. cheers nell
Whew! Micky Dee, you said a mouthful. I particularly like the "poem." You're great. Voted up, naturally!
A serious topic but as always you know how to make your readers smile as they read it (poem).
Have not seen todays papers yet - but we had our emergency budget yesterday to reduce the countries loan debts (pay back time for all, for 'others' past mistakes). I expect there will be lots about it in the papers here, not sure yet who it effects most.
I had better go - got work to do. :)

''The common flaw in most people's thinking is they believe the Bible says,"Money is the root of all evil." That has never been the case''.
--------------------------------------
Check these sayings out
''Money is the root of all evil'' my loved one said ''give me the money, you don't want to be evil
'' the more you give, the more you get '' sure honey
''it is better to give than to receive'' I'll take it all
''one good turn deserves another '' ok sounds good
'' the first million is the hardest ''
Just for whatever it's worth hubbers
Hehe, never easy to live richly, there are consequences hehe, I like the poem, it rhymes, plus you nailed it, like the other poem nest to this one, Maita
I am glad and proud to be humble guy. My position in he middle, not rich and not poor. Thanks for inspiring me. two thumbs up for you.

Well done, Micky Dee. Great videos. The system is broken.
The system has been broken since Reagan allowed it to all rush forth by opening the flood gates of the rich and powerful being able to destroy America from within. It looks like the government failed to protect America from domestic enemies like the big businesses who now control D.C.
LOL LOL LOL; I've missed you're sweet sense of humor!
It's not that we don't feel sorry for the rich and their empty soulless offspring, it's the way the obtain their wealth.
What bodies and souls lie mummified in the wake of their search for the almighty dollar?
How many of us throw aways and our seed lie awake wondering how we will make it through the next day? While "Buffy" and her ilk get shipped off to yet another rehab vacation.
What idiot feels sorry for the rich? Hell they need to pay more taxes God only knows how much of their assets lay away on some island untouched. Love this hub
Micky Dee
'' I saw your "Obama Demonizes Insurance Companies Hub". You're part of the "right wing I hate Obama let's sabotage everything he does party".
WE ALL HAVE A RIGHT TO AN OPINION IN HUBBERS LAND. You’re wrong on my politics.
Why is it that liberals seem to inject '' hate'' and ''racism'' in their comments and discussions?
Obama won the 2008 election and the Democrats won a super majority control of congress. The American people voted, that's how our government works.
The republicans had no power to do anything as long as the Democrats had 60 members in the Senate. The only power they have is a filibuster and that’s not a sure thing. You said ''right wing I hate Obama let's sabotage everything he does party".Your comment was the Dem talking points.
With the signing of the Finance Reform bill, the government now controls 60% of the economy. In 19 months, President Obama controls banking, student loans, mortgage industry, auto maker industry and healthcare. They still haven't figured out how to get people back to work, fix the economy and reduce the deficit. It appears that the Obama administration has their priorities mixed up
A very powerful hub Micky and strong comments to follow. Keep on speaking out loud , it's more like you this whole world needs. In my eyes all the money in the world does not always bring happiness, then I suppose that I am not and never will be a materialistic individual. You really are an inspiration Micky and keep up the good work. Take care and God Bless.
If all the wealthy people in each and every city would turn around and put into the schools, soup kitchens, shelters, youth centers, free clinics, job training programs, drug rehab centers (free ones and open some if there aren't any) of their own cities directly, instead of some charity organization or some out of country far away place, before they do those charities and far away places, what would happen?
You know I might just put this on every one of my hubs, just because it is a great idea, if it would be seen and done by all those rich wealthy people out there. ha ha ha the south pole may have to melt first!
Great hub and I did have a great time reading it :D you know how to say something serious with humor! `imi pono aloha oe
Micky Dee
''This country works for the people it's supposed to work for. you're still an IDIOT if you think this country works.'' ''I'm 60 years old and I'm tired of the lies ''
MICKY, puzzling statements, can you clarify so someone can understand where you're coming from. Please without calling just an ordinary guy some undeserved names.
PEACE AND LOVE
"With the signing of the Finance Reform bill, the government now controls 60% of the economy".
All this control was in the works long before Obama was in office. It did not matter if the Dems or the Reps got in office it would have been signed... In my humble opinion, unless we get rid of the party system this government will be controlled by who ever is in control of it now. And that AIN"T any President. We got puppets carrying out orders of an invisible few who are really in control. This is a Capitalist Social government with the Caps in control, who they are. should be what people are finding out. That is my humble opinion! and it ani't worth 2cents, so there! Aloha :D
hey, I need all the blessing I can get :D bring 'em on!
Micky, Hello,
How patient you are! enjoyed your writing and your point of view-of course !!best from jandee

This is too funny...... Who wants to be rich, when you could be poor?
